Can children and young adults travel without adult supervision?

Anyone aged 17 or under must travel with a parent or guardian aged 18 or over except where the conditions below are met.

 

When travelling between Sweden and Denmark, young adults aged 16 & 17 may travel without a parent or guardian with a completed, printed liability waiver (from a parent or guardian) and a valid ID document.

 

 On the Irish Sea routes, young adults aged 16 & 17 may travel without a parent or guardian aged 18 or over but must provide a letter of authority from a parent or guardian.
