About Stena Line

Stena Line is an international transport and travel service company specialising in freight and passengers and one of the largest ferry companies in the world. Stena Line has Europe's most comprehensive route network, consisting of 20 strategically located ferry routes across Northern Europe, operating in Scandinavia, the Baltics, the North Sea and the Irish Sea with a fleet of 34 vessels. Stena Line also owns and operates five ports. Stena Line has approximately 5,000 employees.


Stena Line was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in the Swedish City of Gothenburg.


Following several years of change and development processes, Stena Line is now a stable and profitable group that provides demanding private and freight customers with cost-effective sea transportation and unique added value.


During 2015, approximately 7 million passengers travelled with Stena Line. 1.5 million cars and 2 million freight units were transported during the same period.
