Coronavirus advice

What is essential travel?

Enforcing rules on ‘essential travel’ is not the responsibility of Stena Line employees but rather the various police forces and border agencies across the UK and Ireland.

Government officials are operating at ports across the UK and Ireland who have the authority to stop, question and if necessary refuse entry to UK/Ireland to those not meeting the criteria on ‘essential travel’.

For more information visit the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs,  French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, or European Union advice webpages.
