WHILE some people are faced with long queues at check-in, delayed flights and a two-hour wait at the airport, Ireland’s leading ferry company Stena Line is putting the fun back into summer with a range of family fun activities onboard its vessels and at its terminals, ensuring stress free travel for all the family.
Children’s entertainers will keep young customers sailing on Stena Line’s Dublin Port to Holyhead, Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead and Rosslare to Fishguard routes entertained with magic shows, balloon modelling, magic trick training, themed treasure hunts and quizzes while Curious George™ will also be making regular appearances on the Stena Adventurer, HSS Stena Explorer, Stena Europe and Stena Express. There will be free giveaways, too, including Curious George™ balloons, badges and fruit snacks.
On the return journey, passengers will be kept entertained at Holyhead and Fishguard Ports in specially created areas beside the car lanes where they will have the chance to participate in football, Jenga, giant noughts and crosses, giant snakes and ladders, golf putting and Wii games.
Stena Line’s Communications Manager, Eamonn Hewitt, believes the great selection of entertainment on offer allows customers to start their holiday as soon as they step onboard. “More and more people are choosing to travel by ferry as it allows you to take as much luggage as you want, you don’t have to check in two hours in advance, you don’t have to put the contents of your hand luggage into a plastic bag and you don’t have restricted legroom.”
“We are giving people even more reason to travel with Stena Line this summer because in addition to our children’s play areas onboard our vessels we’ll have a great range of activities on our Irish Sea sailings not to mention some great fun taking place beside the car lanes at Holyhead Port and Fishguard Port to keep little monkeys entertained on the return journey,” Eamonn added.
Stena Line offers a fantastic choice of routes from Ireland to Britain including Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead, Dublin Port to Holyhead, Rosslare to Fishguard, Belfast to Stranraer and Larne to Fleetwood. Once onboard customers can sit back, relax and enjoy the great choice of restaurants and bars, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the Irish Sea or pick up something in the onboard shops which offer great savings on fragrances, spirits and lots more!
