I'd rather not leave my dog in the car. Is there an alternative?
Irish Sea and Rosslare-Cherboug routes
Pets can travel in kennels on all routes between Britain, Ireland and France but must be pre-booked in advance of travel.
On the Belfast to Liverpool route, it is recommended to pre-book a dog lodge. This costs an additional €15 single per dog lodge and can be booked at the onboard extras step of the booking process. This option will also allow access to your pet throughout the crossing. Not only can you visit your dog but you can also exercise them under controlled conditions.
On all other Irish Sea routes and our Rosslare-Cherbourg route, kennels can be pre-booked at no additional cost.
No animals are permitted in the passenger areas onboard our Dublin – Holyhead, Rosslare – Fishguard and Rosslare-Cherbourg routes. Small dogs are permitted onboard our Belfast – Cairnryan route if they are secured for the duration of the crossing at all times in a pet traveller case, otherwise they will be placed on the car deck in the dedicated kennel area. Pets, other than guide, hearing or assistance dogs, are not permitted in the Superfast Suites.
Guide, hearing and autism assistance dogs are welcome in the Passenger Lounge at the port and onboard all of our crafts.
Harwich-Hook of Holland route
Alternatively to travelling in your car, pets can travel in our kennels. You will be able to keep an eye on them via the kennel camera which you can watch from your cabin TV.
Pets cost €16 per animal for a single leg crossing and we recommend that you check that their EU passport has been completed in accordance with the PETS rules.
Guide dogs are permitted to accompany their owners onto the passenger decks and are also allowed into their cabin during the crossing.
